| Star runners episode 24 Bro-ken>up chapter 1 Pin ball had the ship to him self every one had left . the Revenge eternal rested quietly its large bulk hidden within a large asteriod field . what better place to wait till the crew returned, with the supplys and replacements . Its not like they could just land at a station and ask for a refit . Being one of the most wanted ships did have its draw backs they couldent even use their normal disguise , partially because the port hanger doors had been blown clean off in there last attack .and most of the gun ports were stuck open and hevily damaged . the hanger doors they could off bluffed there way around pirate attack or something , the guns well seeing as the sunshine may was supposed to be a freighter the guns would get them in trouble then there would be no hiding,if centralworlds found out the Revenge eternal and the Sunshine may were the same ship . pin ball was ready to enjoy him self what duties he had been left with were done, the coms were set to feed over the ships speekers if anyone called all the sensor nets were in place nothing left to do but enjoy him self . Walking thru the ship he headed towards his secret stash . Quickly sending out his mind he searched for any new survelience casidie was always trying to get rid of the blind spots in the ship . Hed had to move his stash a few times already . No this time he was clear . He opened the door to the jump engines stepping thru he activated his wrist lamp and ducked under the lintle , it was dark in here you couldent have any lights down here the engins always blew them . he shiverd slightly it was always so cold in here perfict for his stash . He reached under one of the manual control panels carefull not to disturb the dust he'd cop all hell if any one knew he was in here . His searching fingers found the box carefully draging it out he smiled . opening it he inhaled the delicious aromas it wasnt contraband as such but seing how expencive it was and how crazy the girls were for it , he always felt a guilty rush . Carfully he removed a small package from within. closing the lid quickly to resist the urge to grab more , he restowed the box and retreated towards the door a quick glance around showed he had disturbed nothing else he stepped out and closed the door . Returning to the commons room he smiled to himself he almost never had time to himself theese days colapsing onto one of the lounges he sighed this was nice . He was alone and he had ambrosia chocholate .picking up his personal veiwer he settled in for a full day of doing nothing. A small hevily armoured assult ship approched the revenge eternal fast , berely clearing the astroids the small ship swung under the last obstruction angling directly towards the dark'nd ship boosting recklessly into the wide open hanger 'THUMP ' clang............................... screeeeech thump' pin ball looked up from the screen as the ship shudderd ,the newest stats and up grades flashed unveiwed as he stared around the room the alarms were not going off and nobody else was supposed to be on the ship theyd all had errends they couldent be back yet shorly . closing his eyes he scanned the ship odd he could'nt pick up any one , perplexed pinball unfolded his lanky frame from the lounge and headed towards the bridge .The hanger walkway door exploded open pinball spun around 'bang ' tas slamed into him knocking him to the ground . she didnt even notice she just walked on .Tas stormed thru the room paying little heed to her surroundings she wasnt looking or even caring Pinball picked himself up and stared after her what the hell was she doing back so early , If it had been any one else he would of just read ther mind to find out but you couldent reed tas . Pinball turned to return to the lounge when a loud splintering nois followed by banging came from the quarters . “what the hell “ pinball muttered , so much for a few quiet days off he headed down the corridor blake would not be happy if she was remodeling the ship. pinball faced tas 's door should he knock he never had before he raised his hand and prepared his most disarming smile. There was no chance to knock , the door came flying of its hinges directly out wards towards him. thrusting wildly with his power pinball deflected it . Just. The door imbeded it self in the oposite wall . Pinball stared into the room . 'man casidies gonna have a fit' tas had completely trashed it the beds were splinters against the wall tas and cassidies stuf was ripped smashed and strewn allover the room even the desk had been ripped of the wall leaving a large hole thru to the next .he didnt dare to wonder what had happened to the lockers . Tas was standing in the mess hands clenched head down her whole body tence . as he stared pin ball became aware of an odd wine noise low and constant ,his eyes darted round the room looking for the source ' shurly tas did not have a pet in here ' finially his eyes returned to tas , she was shuddering , then it clicked it was her the noise was coming from her , stunned pinball stared hed never seen tas cry before hell no one had. 'What the hell shuld he do , oh man what had coused her to .. must have been something bad ' thoughts rapidly filled his head . As he stood there dumbfounded . Tas turned and stared at pinball for the first time relising she wasnt alone, she growled a fiersce and animal sound and strode towards pin ball fast,swinging her fist . pin ball started as shock replaced confusian , tas was fast and befor pinball could get out of the way she had slamed her fist into his gut doulbbilng over he tried to fend of her blows . “tas . Stop . !what ... hell... tas STOP IT!!”he cried Tas did not she just kep hitting him any exposed area she hit it with a relentless fury . His body racked with pain pinball concentrated get her of balance use his psi against her he thought .he crumpled up against the wall as he thrust out power concentrating on holding her , tas tried to swing again his power held her off just . “Tas its me what the hell . Calm down its ok .remember im a friend ?”he cried she started screaming and swearing continusly trying to reach him . Pummeling the unseen shield holding her Pin ball didn't know what to do Tas was besde her self with rage if he let down his shield she would probably kill him . Pinball tried to stand up placing his arm against to wall to prop him self up . he yelped and gritted his teath as the arm colapsed 'damn ' his left arm was a mass of bruises and felt broken .leaning with his back against the wall he tried to think what could he do there was nowhere in the ship that was tas proof he scanned the ship trying to figure out what to do Swaying slightly he started backing down the corridor ,tas stood where his powers held her still bashing againt themcsreaming and crying 'how far could he go before the shield broke ' . at the threshhold of the comon room pinball stopped . a glance at tas showed her still trying to fight the shield and get at him what the hell had happened to her . He glanced towards the bridge could he make it in there and get a call out ? how long would the door last against an enraged tas ? he knew he had to do something his head was starting to throb and he couldent keep the sheild in place for much longer . looking aroundthe room his eyes landed on the medi cabnet.' thats it” he stepped into the commons and slam'd the door his shield was still holding barely. Holding his chest he moved as fast as he could his left arm hanging usles by his side every step jaring his body. Openinmg the medi cabnet he searched for the stims and seditives .there was a thump against the door the shield had failed. he fumbled for a few stims then grabbed the seditive gun. If anything was gunna take out tas - without killing her this was it . The door shudderd , the lock snapped flinging the door against the wall so hard it bounced back, Tas strode into the room .Pinball backed against the wall hiding the seditive gun behind his back . She snarled “ come here male !” lunging forward grabbing pinball by the throat. The force of her attack slamed him into the wall he tried to bring the gun around but his arm was now pined behind his back , tas held on slowly increacing the pressure as her left arm drew back preparing to punch. Pinball was racked with pain breatings was fast bcoming impossible wrenching his arm painfully pinball got his arm free and and with a wild thrust jabbed the gun into her chest . she snarled and brought her fist down into the side of his head .metal met flesh with a sickening thump. Chapter 2 D9 stared into the reflections on the veiw screen LanaDana was so beautiful , he turned his head and stared at her smiling .lana shook her head in irritation scowling slightly “nothings gone right , at the station we'd only found half of what we were looking for befor that idiot ''arrgh why of all the stupid half assed things to do did he go and do that” she mutterd “huh” D8 asked then he sighed and looked into the back of the shuttle at where shaun was laying out cold, he was lucky theyd picked him up if it had been up to LanaDana they would of left him to the centralworlds guards . “look dana its not his fault how was he to know they were guards -' D8 said trying to calm her down . 'What oh come on ive been on this crew less than a year and even I know you dont go talking about that stuff so obviously . He might as well have asked , hey my ship got blown up attacking one of yours can you tell me how to avoid that happining next time ! Honestly ! . as it is we'll be lucky if our faces arn't all over their news he blew up the loading docks .” “ it diddnt do him any good either lana .”d8 said . He looked back at shaun he agreed it was pretty stupid but then shaunwas despret to reinforce the shielding around the jump engins ' how could some so inteligent be so stupid .; the day had started ok theyed arrived at the xt23 station it was the best prospect for what they needed seeing as it was a mining station they'd landed the shuttle in the main dock and spread out to find what they needed lana was off to the bazzar to find some rations shaun was of to find enouth metal to replace the doors and D8 was to aquire imformation from a few of his old mates who hung around in various places around the station . Hes was enjoying himself when a call came fron lanadana, “ iv got some of the stuff I need a hand can you come to deck 6a corridor 5 and give me a hand “ she asked before hanging up . He shruged and looked to his mate kyle so”rry the little lady needs me “ “huh id av never pegged you as a family type there d9 “ kyle laughed as he slaped d9 on the back “well you better go “ kyle continued laughting as d9 walked away and d9 couldent help but smile to . he and lanadana had only been a couple a little while and he was still getting used to it all , especially the odd looks lanadana was so small and she looked more like a child or one of thoes companion dolls than a grown woman and she was so pale .up against his dark bulk she looked even smaller . he was used to people looking at him and flinching but the reaction to him when he was with lanadana was different it was... worse . But he would fight for her he loved her so bad it hurt even if he couldent tell one minute from the next wether he was speaking to dana or lana he loved all of her . He walked thru the station warily keeping the jacket and cap covering his face it was always better not to stick out there was still a bounty on his head . lanadana was standing near an elivator with her arms crossed .her pale jacket pulled tight around her slim frame with just her eyes looking above the collor her mess of blond hair obscuring them . She warily scruitinized all that walked past “ d9 can you carry these to the ship for mr “ she said quietly as she unfolded her arms and pointed at a sizeble pile behind her 'I made a goood deal . There also delivering some new hydroponics systems they shuld be down by the ship now” d9 looked at the boxis “ugg” synth food are there any fress stuff in here” he groned as he hefted up the pile she smiled “tats the next lot silly basics first then luxaries were not made of monie you know” she picked up the last two boxis for her size she was strong. They decended in the elevator down to the loading docks . man its buisy in here ' lana said as she opened the shuttle door glancing inside told her that shaun had already returned at least once there were large metal panels proped up against the wall she climed in and stacked her boxis at the front d9 followed her in and did the same. D9 straitened up and turned around to look at the haphazadly stacked panels “ i'l secure this stuff properly now “d9 said as he started shoving the metal panels closer to the wall .lanadana nodded and hopped out of the shuttle .she made her way over to an exit heading towards another shopping area when yelling ans shouting ahead to the side drew her attention 4 centeal worlds guards were chasing some one thru the loading docks she watched as they ducked under the wings of a small ship the returned her attention to where she was going . the sound or runinning feet came close behind her , lanadana stepped to the side as some one ran past hotly pursued by the guards lanadana froze in shock it was shaun . d9 had finished stowing the panels when he herd a shout he leaned out of the ship “oh no “ shaun was being pursued the the loading dock by 4 guards , he winced as shaun nearly ran into lanadana and dissapered thru the gateway lana slowly walked back to the ship .” “ we gotta get out of here now” lanadana wisperd when she got to the door d8 jumped out shaking his head “ nah we gotta help him we gotta.” he stopped talking as he took in danas face “they'll trace him back to this ship do you realy wanna go back to jail d9 cause if you do im leaving you behind aswell” she stated climbing into the shuttle d9 crossed his arms and was about to speek when the com interupted him “ lanadana d9 . shit get back to the ship ................thud ....there bringing a ........... thud screech ........round to ..crackle....... it ..................ill be there soon “ the com died out suddnly and d9 looked at lanadana “ oh shit “ lana clambord thru to the cockpit flicking switches and starting up the engings as she sat down d9 climed in next to her “ did you shut the door “she asked as she fired up the engines ` “ no left them opem for shaun” d9 said guiltily casting an eye to the back landdana gritted her teath “go shut them ..please”she asked as the ship started to move. D9 hopped out of his seat and walked carfully to the rear . sticking his head out he couldent see shaun so he started to close the doors . “damn d9 their t shutting the loading doors were gonna be stuck” land dana yelled as the ship turned towards the air shield . His mind returning to now he shook his head and smiled at lanadana ,leaning over he took hold of her chin ..he turned her towards him “its all done get over it the capt will deal with everything please .” “you./ d9 was inturupted suddnly as all the scanners went berzurk and the ship suddnly lurched . They both turned back to the screen in shock “ who .how unlock the guns d9 now. bugger “ lanadana screamed as she engaged the emergency thrusters and tried to dodge an oncoming missile . |
